唐代名將秦瓊白臉鳳眼，背插靠旗、手持鐧做武將打扮，英姿煥發。前有五子登科，象徵童子成器，家運興旺。傳說秦瓊和尉遲恭護衛唐太宗有功，皇帝體恤其辛勞，令畫其像於門上以代之。明代以後廣被民間奉為門神，貼於大門守護家宅平安。

Legend has it that during the Tang Dynasty, Emperor Taizong (598-649) fell very ill. His loyal generals, Qin Qiong and Yu Chigong, guarded the emperor day and night. In order to allow the generals to rest, Emperor Taizong ordered artists to paint portraits of the generals and hung them on the palace doors. After the Ming dynasty, these two figures became known as “door gods” in folk culture, and their portraits are hung on front doors to protect people’s homes from evil.
